Reini Adelbert
Corporate veteran, lawyer & writer, Reinhard “Reini” Adelbert has lived in South Africa since childhood. The ingredients of his highly personal renditions range between European roots & a deep love of Africa. Reini’s music generally fits within blues, folk-country, easy-rock & light-jazz. Tongue-in-cheek commentary, environmental issues & a quest for fairness define his minimalistic lyrics. Like Rodriguez or Clapton, Adelbert finds balance between the ethereal & the ephemeral through his music.
Reini has become a fixture in the South African live music scene, playing often in Johannesburg & Capetown.

Reini’s album, ‘Leave Your Light On’, produced by Jonny Blundell, enjoys regular radio airtime. ‘Memories of Rain’ with Rootspring Music, again produced by Jonny Blundell, was launched in 2018. Adelbert has recently completed two new collections, ‘Uitlander’ & ‘Londolozi’.
